I hiked Mt. Takao with my son the other day and saw these. They made me think of Disney's dwarfs. If I recall correctly, there were seven of these unique-looking statues lined up with generic jizo behind them. Jeremy @ 2008-06-18 23:03:22
I didn't know the name of these were jizo. Thanks for the info. I was able to google it to find out what it is all about. By the way, this photo is great.
