I’ve been following the story in Haiti on other blogs. I wanted to pass along this video. It’s an amazing story of a woman rescued after being buried in the rubble for six days. It’s also a story of a husband’s hope.

That is amazing how they ended up finding her alive. I really wish I could be there helping right now. I’m a US Navy Hospital Corpsman stationed at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland and the hospital ship, the USNS Comfort was recently deployed to Haiti to give aid to those injured from the quake. I was on the list to go, but I was one of the unlucky 200 to be recalled back from going. (They overfilled the quota for the deployment). I feel as if I need to be there to help.

I’m really bumbed by this news and want to do my part in helping. It looks like lots of people are getting involved but more are definitely needed.
