I went to Meiji Jingu today to photograph the New Year’s rituals. I saw lots of interesting people, including lots of young women in kimonos (because it’s “Coming of Age” day), but these Shinto wedding photos were my favorites.

    I love that you included the photographers in the photos. Makes for a much more interesting shot than just trying to shoot the couple posing for another unseen camera.

    I got to take a similar picture when I visited Miyajima Island last year. (Not nearly as good as yours.) This is lovely, and brings back fond memories.
