Pet store in Shinjuku

20090606-195-033

I took this on a Saturday night next to Shinjuku Station. Everyone passing by was headed to drink or eat and have a good time. Pets are highly regarded in Japan, and many were attracted to stop and make playful gestures through the glass. I’m sure the cat was priced at several hundred dollars, although it seemed like a strange place for it.

  1. I’m not a huge cat lover, but that’s a pretty one.

the leg showing thing is a really European style. I live in tourist central in the states, and during the summer we get a lot of Irish and Russians looking for work and play. They all seem to wear there pants like that too.
