I had another chance to climb Mount Takao last weekend. I went by myself and got up in just 32 minutes (using a trail on the back side). I figured it might be one of the last clear, sunny days with leaves on the trees, and as a bonus Fuji was snow covered.

The detail in this shot at full size is amazing!
A side note for photographers, I’ve started processing my photos 100 percent in Lightroom 2.0 — including the watermark, different formats (for print, stock, Flickr…), and automatic formating and uploading to my galleries like Flickr and (coming soon) Smugmug. I’m laying off Photoshop except in exceptional cases. For my purposes, Lightroom is better and much, much faster (especially once you figure out the time savers).
Dial-Abroad.org is my own website that I created to help people save on international long distance, mobile, and toll free services in the USA and worldwide.

I like the way you framed Mt. Fuji with the dynamic lines of the tree branches. There’s strength and beauty in that shot. Was that taken with a long lens?
I think the top one was my 100mm lens and the second a 50mm. Thanks.
